The CDFA Spray & Ground Treatment Plan: Summer 2008

The citizens of the Bay Area will be aerial sprayed and included in the twist tie placement plan of a pesticide called CheckMate. This is an untested pesticide. The CDFA sprayed Monterey and Santa Cruz counties last Fall ... there were 643 cases of health problems, hundreds of dead birds and the most severe red tide in decades ... covered in yellow foam. Children and pets are extremely at risk since they are the smallest (and pets are low to the ground).
